How much are you sharing on social?

Lynnie, on February 21, 2018 at 13:16 Posted in WeddingWire 0 10

How much of your wedding information and planning are you sharing on social media?

Did you announce your engagement on social? Updating your friends on your wedding countdown on Facebook? Will you be posting wedding day snapchats? Or are you keeping all of that off social?

I am into social media as I have blog for books and review and post at least one thing every day, so when we announce our engagement officially I will occasionally do updates...and I am shifting more to a lifestyle blog, so I may add somethings on there. It is kind of see where it goes, lol. I never thought I would be into wedding planning as much as I am as I have never been big into weddings even when I was in the wedding party.

I've barely done anything on social media. I announced the engagement there after we personally told all our closest family and friends, but other than that, nothing. I think i've put all my energy into the wedding website rather than social media.

We're not really into social media; we both have Facebook and changed our relationship status there. And we posted an announcement when we first got engaged. I have been writing a blog about my planning process which does have a lot of details. But, I'm not really advertising the posts other than one Facebook announcement letting people know I started blogging.

We changed our relationship status on Facebook but we won’t be putting anything else up about the wedding until after we’re married.

I’ve changed my FB status and that was about it so far. It’s been nearly 4 months and I haven’t posted an engagement ring photo or anything. Just don’t have the time tbh to do it.

We changed our relationship status on Facebook after we told our families and close friends, because we still wanted our friends to learn it from us directly, especially since we're having a short engagement and there are many people we won't see before we get married.

After we told the important people in our life (Family and good friends), we posted our engagement on Facebook/Instagram to let everyone else in our lives know.

I think I did one update at the 6 month mark cause I'm excited but thats it.

Nothing else on there. Sometimes I debate doing my fun DIY stuff but I'd rather people see it at the wedding for the first time.

We announced our engagement on Facebook and changed our status to married once that happened but otherwise there wasn't much that went up. We aren't big social media people to begin with so it wasn't unusual.

We announced our engagement on Instagram/Facebook in a joint post. I don't think I'll be sharing any countdowns, or details about the planning. That being said, we are looking into a wedding hashtag for Instagram, as we found it was awesome seeing what friends/family posted at our friends' weddings.

We announced it on Facebook after we told all our family and close friends. We've not been updating actively on Facebook, maybe closer to the time but right now we still have lots of time. I don't think we will be on our phone much at all at the wedding so all the social media can wait till another day.
