How many venues did you visit?

Lynnie, on August 21, 2017 at 11:05 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 10

Choosing your wedding venue is one of the first wedding decisions you'll make, and also one of the hardest!! You want something that lines up with your vision, can fit your guests, is available, offers great services at a good price - it can be tough to decide!

How many venues did you visit before you found "the one"? Were you one and done or did you look at tons of places?

We went to 10 different venues total, but the very first one we looked at, was the one we ended up choosing! It was our favourite for sure, and had decorations included and was the best price out of all the other one's we looked at! It was the perfect venue for us and I am happy with how it all turned out!

We had no idea what type of wedding we wanted. We went from eloping, to backyard wedding, to having a cocktail reception in a bar.! All over the place. We looked at 3 places, 6 including backyards. We ended up going with a hotel rooftop lounge. The hotel made it easy for us to chose them. Our wedding is July 2018 and I cannot wait Smiley smile

I am doing a destination wedding but I like looked at 12 resorts, took pictures, made appointments months in advance, looked at menus, ceremony and reception locations and menu.. I spent about 4 hours at each place.

We only went to one venue and booked it right away. We had talked about looking at other places before putting the deposit down but knew that they would never be able to give us what we wanted for our day! One and done!

We didn't visit any venues actually. I had always envisioned getting married at my uncle's farm that has a beautiful old barn with a red door. He actually offered up the property before we even thought of anything else and we jumped on it. Dream come true!

We looked at 2. One of them because my fiancé's dad had a connection there so we only went to be polite lol. The other one was our dream venue so we knew it was the one the first time we saw it!

We went to three. I've worked in events for a long time so I was pretty familiar with the usual venues. These were three I hadn't gone to or considered before. The one we chose was the last one we saw but I was pretty sure that's what we were going to end up going with.
