Are you having ushers help out at your wedding ceremony? Who did you ask to fill this role? How many ushers will you have at your wedding?

My eldest nephew (13) and my best friend's son (12) will be our ushers. The groomsmen will be helping out too.

We're having three. The groomsmen are going to play double duty and be the ushers first!

I think it's really nice if you have siblings/cousins/extra friends you want to involve. We won't be having any but it's just because we don't really have anyone that fits that bill.

Come to think of it, they've been used in almost every church ceremony I've been to but I don't believe I've seen too many ushers used in other venues.

We are having ushers. We are also having a sit wherever you want wedding but we want to include my brother's so they will be ushers. Pretty much just helping guests out and if we have an aisle runner they will sort that out too.

Thanks - that's helpful to know! I hadn't even thought of ushers so I'm glad I don't have to add that to my to-do list haha.

    Definitely not necessary.

We're not having ushers. We also are doing a "sit whereever you like" ceremony. We'll have a few reserved signs in the front row for our parents but that's it.

Our groomsmen will also be at the venue a bit early so they'll be there to assist with anything guests might need.

I'm considering asking two of my closer cousins to usher, just so they can be a part of our day (I had to leave all cousins off the guest list due to size limitations on the guest list), but it does seem a little silly with only 40 guests and a "sit anywhere" ceremony as well.

Do you need to have ushers? We're doing a"sit wherever" ceremony so I'm not sure if it's necessary.

We haven't actually asked anybody. Is it necessary to have ushers?

We are having just one. And it’s my FH good friends. He wanted to be apart of the wedding so this was one way we could include him.
