How many tiers will your wedding cake have?

Thank you Emilie, here is a prototype of our cake. The cake topper in the picture is the one we want to use. The part our cake is the pillars, the one pillar will be fill black sparkles and the other will have gold sparkles. In the pillars will be gold flowers and the bottom will have black flowers. We will have gold and black ribbons wrapped on the cake for each layers.

We have opted for no big cake instead we are doing mini cheesecakes and cupcakes.

The second picture is lovely- very close to what I think I might do! I like the simple swirls of frosting on the cupcakes, and it looks like canilla and chocolate cake

Those would be some tall tiers! I'm thinking a gaming cake topper, but otherwise a traditional cake. Haven't picked a design yet, I have cake tastings starting the weekend after Thanksgiving

We are having a three tier cake with pillars between the top and second layer.

I'm a little on the fence- might do a three tier cake, or a small cake to cut and cupcakes. We already have a nice cupcake tower from my sister's wedding that would blend nicely with our theme too, and I like that they are portioned already, and I can make a two or three flavors!

But then cakes look so elegant...tough choice!
