How many people did you invite vs how many came/RSVP’d?

Trish, on September 17, 2019 at 00:57 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 11
Wondering what your initial numbers vs your final numbers are.

Right now im at 162 but I’m missing some plus ones and probably about 20 or so people/extended family we’re on the fence about. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Getting nervous ha

WE invited 160 and have 85 confirmed. We knew about 60 were no's but sent them anyways, and of the 75 no's about 1/3 are kids, my cousins decided to make it an adults only night.

We invited ~140 people, with the expectation that ~95 would actually come (we had a lot of family overseas who we knew could not realistically make it). We got 85 RSVPs, but 80 guests came on the day (5 unexpected no-shows).

We planned for 145, and 30 declined (some were unexpected, others were "yeah, they probably won't go".

Now we have 115 confirmed Smiley laugh

Our guest list was 75 guests and 72 guest attended. We had about 5% declined and no show.

We kept it small and intimate since we couldn't pay for more than 100 to attend knowing my side is bigger to about 150 family members.

We had a guest list of just over 300 and our venue max's out at 250.

Sent out enough invites for 250 people (including ourselves and our vendors). Got about 60 no's.

Sent out about 60 invites for the remaining spots. Got about 35 no's. And we are sitting at roughly 215 for our guest count but are planning food for about 225 Smiley tongue

We invited about 160. Our final numbers are 108 including us. We knew some people wouldn't show up, but we were expecting about 120/130, so some people may surprise you with their answer!

I think the bigger the number of invites, the more likely to have a higher percentage of declines. We invited 50 and 46 made it (everyone had to travel), but it was only our absolute closest friends and family so most wouldn't miss it unless there was something that kept them from attending. As others said, probably around 10% or so as a starting point is a good estimate.

We invited 250 and ended with 190...
A few were expected but a lot unexpectedly declined. Plan for at least 10% of guests declining.

We had invited probably about 140 or so and had some plus ones last minute. But we ended up having loads of people decline and last minute cancellations. So we now have about 94-96 coming to the wedding

    That is a big wedding!

We sent out approximately 90 invitations (Everyone had an option for a plus one, so we were prepared for 180 guests) and we had 120 or so at the end of the day.
