The venue in the contract is ours all day (8am day of until 2am the next morning). Our reception is starting at 6pm. Pretty sure it's not going to go until 2am. Less than 6 hours!

We have a good relationship with our venue so they are letting us stay until 3 a.m. if we wanted to, but our cocktails begin at 5 p.m.

We're not really having a reception, just a ceremony with dinner and a first dance. We anticipate the whole thing to take about four hours from the start of the ceremony to the time when we leave dinner

Started at 5, we left around 10:30. We snuck out because we wanted to enjoy some of the evening

The cocktail hour will be more like an hour and a half, and then the reception will be 7 hours. Lots of time to eat and drink

The reception will start at 5p.m. and end either at 12 or 12:30. So 7-7 1/2 hours.

Cocktails start at 4pm and will go until 12:30, I think. So 8 1/2hrs, which sounds like an outrageously long time.

I think we will start the cocktail hour about 5:30 and we need to have last song ending at 1am. Depends how long everyone wants to stay I guess.

It started right after the ceremony so it would have went from 6ish till 2am = 8 hours long. Although even after the bus left from the venue, the people who hadn't left were still partying - some until 5AM... like my DH...
