How many days before wedding should I get my spray tan?

Hi Girls!

I have never gotten a spray tan before, and im planning on getting a trial one for my engagement photos - everything I have read has said 2 days before your wedding is the ideal time to get one, but would 3 days before be alright also or would it start fading by then?

Sorry if this question is stupid for some of you haha! I have only used self tanner (st tropaz) and by the 3rd day it already starts fading and getting blotchy.

    I would also recommend just trying it out prior to the wedding. I just went for one on Sunday, had to spend the whole day being cautious of what I was doing but now on Day #3 I am not sure how I feel about it.. I feel like I personally tan a different tone and my freckles become darker as my skin becomes darker. Where the spray tan didn't darken my freckles (I didn't expect it to) but thats a feature on myself I actually like to see.

    I honestly feel like I look orange but my family is assuring me I don't - I think its just such a fast change that your mind feels like it looks unnatural. I hope you have a better experience than I did, I am sure I am just being super particular about the whole thing.

    I would advise you to speak with the person who will be doing the spray tan for you and ask their advice. They would be most familiar with the product/tan, how long it lasts, etc.

    Are you going to get the spray tan 3 days before your engagement shoot to trial it? This could be a great idea also Smiley smile

    3 before is fine if you limit your showers. I get spray tans all the time and i like to shower every other day and lotion 24/7. Tan should last you 7+ days like that. Your face will fade the fastest. I like my spray tan the best on day 3!
