How formal is your wedding?

More on the formal side. but not tux formal. the guys will be in 3 piece suits. and girls will be in long dresses.

We have advertised our wedding as formal, but it is more semi-formal.

Definitely semi-formal. It's not black tie, but not super casual either (we're doing a plated 3-course meal in a banquet hall).

We were semi-formal/business casual for ours. As we were having a more rustic wedding we just wanted to prevent people from showing up in jeans and t-shirts.

Casual to semi-formal. No matter what I put on the invitation, someone will show up in jeans lol

We will not have a dress code. None of my family has had dress codes for weddings though and they always end up being semi formal which is what we want. If people are dressed a little on the casual side we will not be upset.

Wedding Attire was Semi-Formal and Reception was Black Tie Formal. Indian weddings are always dressed up for the occasion.

We've put "formal" on our wedding invitation... because they guys are all in tuxes, moms in "gowns" (floor length fancier dresses) and the bridesmaids are in floor length dresses.

I know people may just end up "fancier than normal" but I want the 'sub-par' outfits to still be semi-dressy. I don't want to put "semi-formal" or less, and for a guy to think that means dark wash jeans and a button up. I know not everyone will be fancy, and that's okay, I'm not trying to force people to but in suits and gowns... just trying to avoid jeans and t-shirts.

It'll be pretty casual! I'm trying to convince my mom in wearing a 3/4 pant jumpsuit instead of a dress and stilettos. She'd look so fierce!

We didn't specify a dress code, but I get the feeling most will be dressed up! I anticipate people will wear suits and dresses, but not tuxedos or ball gowns.
