How far in advance did you start planning your wedding?

We started planning about 2 months after we got engaged

He proposed in March and we starting planning in April!

He proposed on Christmas morning and we started planning in early January so like 2-3 weeks after we got engaged. We had our Save the dates out by the end of January and our invitations went out in February. Many friends and family coming from abroad so we really needed to be on top of things. Things are coming together pretty nicely so far (knock on wood).

My fiancé proposed to me on March 12, 2016 We started planning our wedding in August 2016, 5 months after we got engaged

We started putting some thought into it the next day. We pulled together our guest list first. We got engaged in October last year. We looked at venues for months before we found ours in January. We booked our DJ and photographer at the end of January and have not done much since then. Our date is 9/29/2018 so we have plenty of time!

We had the guest list started that evening... The date picked and venue booked 5 days later... He proposed while we were back East on vacation and I wanted the ceremony and reception venues nailed down before we left.

We had our venue booked one month after getting engaged in June 2016. Little by little, things got checked off the list from there. 6 months to go and all the big things are done 😊

I've looked about a bunch of things since even before the proposal, but in terms of contacting vendors and going to bridal shows, I started that shortly after the proposal. However, the bulk of my research and contacting people has been since the end of December/start of this year, so almost 4 months after.
