How far have you traveled to attend a wedding?

Lynnie, on October 15, 2018 at 09:05 Posted in WeddingWire 0 18

What's the farthest distance you've ever traveled to attend a wedding? How far would you travel to attend a wedding? Do you have a "distance limit" - or does it depend on who's getting married?

I go to the states only for family weddings. Its a huge number increasing and places change due to choices of destintation or hometown.

Not far at all, only been to wedding in town so probably like a 10-15 minute drive to the venue from my house.

I haven’t been to that many weddings. I would say my cousins in Fort McMurray so a 5 hour drive.

I went to south Quebec for a wedding. Depending on whose, I'd consider going on a trip!

Mexico. For my cousin's destination wedding... I don't know if I'd ever travel for someone's destination wedding again, unless it's a sibling. No one else is left unmarried that I'd pay that much money for...

When I was a child we drove like 3 hours for a wedding. That’s as far as I’ve ever gone. That’ll probably change as my cousins start getting married because I’ll be flying out to England

Considering I've been to 4 weddings (two were out of town), London to Niagara Falls was the furthest I've travelled. I was the flower girl in my uncle's wedding when I was 4-5.

I'm travelling from Thunder Bay to London (2 hour flight or 18 hour drive) for one of my bridesmaid's wedding (I'm a bridesmaid in) and my own.

Depending on my relationship to whose getting married and where the wedding is, I would considering travelling far, especially if I was asked to be in the wedding.

All depends on funds/who is getting married that determines how far I travel.

I have gone to NJ for 3 weddings (I was in them). its about a 3 hour flight.
this past February I did a cruise/destination wedding out of Florida (another 3 hour flight).
furthest was...I was living in Asia and came back to Ohio for a wedding that I was in. BUUTT. all I did was end my contract a month early and they paid my flight home (I just lost out on a month of pay).

I’ve travelled from Atlanta to Hawaii for my brother’s wedding.

I almost travelled from Toronto you Romania for my best friend’s wedding but thankfully they decided to marry closer to home.

My “destination limit” is based on the couple getting married.

I think the farthest we have gone is maybe 30 mins. Majority of our family live in the Niagara Region, so the last couple weddings have all been pretty close

So far the farthest I have travelled has been 2 hours. I would for sure go farther no matter who in the family was getting married - as long as I have the funds to do so.
