How can my guests identify if they are thinking of bringing a Plus One?

Genevieve, on May 17, 2018 at 10:15 Posted in Tech support 0 2

Is there an option on the RSVP page to allow guests to identify if they are bringing a Plus One? I did an Excel Import and cannot figure out how my guests, when RSVPing can choose this option? HELP Wedding Wire Community! These invites need to go out!!!

Hi Genevieve! WeddingWire.ca doesn't have "open rsvps" - as in, your guests can't decide to RSVP for additional guests who are not specifically listed in your guest list! To allow your guests to RSVP for their plus one (if you've given them that option), you'll want to add a plus one in the guest list.

Edit the main guest in your guest list and click on "+ Add a plus one for this guest":

The guests will then appear linked with a chainlink icon in the guest list to show that they are connected!

When your guest searches for their name to RSVP online they'll also be able to RSVP for their plus one! I would do what Jennifer suggested and add a note in the text field on the RSVP page asking guests to submit their plus one's name with their reply!

We just added a comment on our rsvp page on our wedding website that says, “if your guest or child’s name is not found please notify us and we will add them for you.” So we gave plus ones to people who we obviously have no clue who their plus one would be on their invites and can easily add their name to the list when someone messages us. Other than that I’m not sure what else to do but it’s worked for us so far Smiley smile
