How are you staying organized?

Roberta, on May 28, 2023 at 19:42 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 7

I feel like I’ve got control on a lot of the bigger items, organization. My issue is all the small details, small things I could miss, how do you stay on top?

Use checklists for different purposes! It definitely helps you stay on track and keep you less stressed when you get closer to the date.

Look up “wedding reception checklists”, “wedding ceremony checklists” and “wedding binder checklist - what paperwork you need the day of.” I have decent links for you to look at below.
Also, my father was a HUGE help when it came to making spread sheets on Excel of wedding decor details - the bin number - the name of the item - the quanitity - the location to place it. Try to have a family member or friend to help you make a spread sheet of all your decor. Also, check out the wedding decor checklist link I put below to see if there are anything small you are not sure what decor you could have. Place all your decor in bins based on theme - ceremony - reception - entry table - outdoor decor - signs - etc. Then have the family or friend make the spread sheet based on what you placed in the bins. This helps not only with set up but clean up as well.

I have lists with time frames and I check everything as I go and set reminders so I don't miss out.

I’m pretty far from the date, so I don’t know if I’ll end up missing stuff haha but what I have been using is the knots timeline, and Pinterest. Anything at all that needs to be done gets added to my Pinterest board, once it’s done I delete it. Good luck!

Lists lists lists. I also have done a lot of googling to see what each piece of the event normally looks like. There are also lots of handy lists online that have items 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month etc etc with items you should have crossed off by that point. Those are helpful too!
