I made a lot of signs for the wedding myself, I also made the table numbers, made up the centerpieces myself, and a Mr and Mrs sign on the head table. I put the wedding favours together myself as well. We had a memory table at the reception to incorporate missed family members. During the reception we did things differently to make our wedding more unique from others. We entered the reception hall before the wedding party, and then 1 by 1, the wedding party was introduced and the mc did a little roast on each one with information we gave them! We also did a love story questionnaire with our dj, and the dj put all the answers together and made a love story out of it and told it to all of our guests. The love story had a lot of people in tears and nobody was expecting it!

My ceremony I wrote myself and is a combination of a civil ceremony, a handfasting, and Wiccan traditions. It will actually be conducted in a circle and I plan to arrange guests around The circle. The whole wedding is also beauty and the beast themed Smiley smile but subtly as opposed to outright

We're getting married on famy property and adding little elements and diy stuff. We are also making our favours which is a spice rub of my FH's creation.

We made homemade Jam with my grandmas recipe and are handwriting everyone's name on the jam tags and using them as place cards at table.

Our wedding was all about personalization! One of my favourite purchases for our wedding was a stamp that looks like us. We used it for a bunch of wedding stuff and it was a great investment! (We got it off of Etsy and the vendor was lilimandrill.)

    Custom Stamp

Our wedding was technically a destination wedding so we made our own welcome bags for our guests and put in some tissues, brochures for local activities, a note from us (that we stamped of course), local candies, etc.

    Welcome bags

We also did a slideshow before our ceremony of baby pictures of us and pictures from throughout our relationship. We had so much fun putting it together and looking through old photos! Our guests really enjoyed it as well.

Our theme was Our Story so we had a chalkboard sign that showed the important dates in our relationship. We did a photo scavenger hunt for our guests so they would have something to do in between the ceremony and the cocktail hour. For our escort cards, we used photos of us with our guests. They got one copy to keep that had their table assignment on it and then they signed the back of another copy and put it in our guestbook.

    There's a couple of things we're doing:
    - we're adding in indigenous acknowledgement in our ceremony (it's at a historic site)
    - we got some personalized napkins too!
    - our centrepieces include some of my favourite books and love quotes and little cars (he loves cars)
    - our theme is vintage/retro/to the moon and back so pretty much everything fits in that

We ordered personalized cocktail napkins in our wedding colours. i absolutely love how they turned out! we are also customizing our jam favours with fabric to match our theme and colours. We are also going to have some photos throughout the reception for personal touches - photos of us as a couple throughout our relationship and a memorial frame with photos of loved ones who have passed away. Here is a photo of our napkins!
