FH doesn't want personalized vows, so it will be pretty basic lol.

We are doing a wine box ceremony. Love letters locked into a box with a good bottle of wine, for us to crack open and enjoy with our saved wedding cake tier on our one year anniversary.

We aren't religious, or spiritual really, so rather than a super short civil ceremony, we wanted to add a little something in there that's more our style.

We added some indian steps to the civil wedding. Regular ring vows were said.

I am in the midst of planning a cruise destination wedding and I am planning to do a less traditional ceremony. My wedding theme is “happily ever after.” And my hope is for all parts of our moment to reflect and be filled with love. My intent is to have a short exchange of vows for myself and my better half. Followed by a vow renewal for the couple in attendance who desire to renew their vows followed by a prayer for the group. So far I anticipate it being six other couples. All guest are expected to wear white for the females and black for the men. If any one has experience or found articles or videos with theme do tell I will like additional ideas to make it flow well.

I am located in Toronto. I am using an officiant from https://allseasonsweddings.com. I am customizing my ceremony with something called a "rose ceremony". During the ceremony, there is a time the officiant speaks about a single red rose being a sign of everlasting love and we exchange a rose. This is very sentimental and meaningful for me as I absolutely love roses; also, I met my fiancé a month before one of my birthdays and for that birthday, he bought me a huge (very expensive) bouquet of red roses that currently are dried and hanging next to a photo of us in my living room.

We did a candle unity which involved our mom's and my step-mom. I had both my dad and step-dad walk me down the aisle. We also ate bread and drank wine during our ceremony.

We're hoping to keep this part short and sweet. For me, it will be customized by having my mom walk me down the aisle. She's my best friend, so it's only fitting

The minister is the minister who preached in the church I grew up in. We're going to write our own vows. We're also hoping to wash each other's feet; it's about having an attitude of service in our marriage and it's based on something Jesus did.

We're writing our own vows. We are having a very intimate ceremony (close family only), so that should add to the intimacy of it all.

We will probably use traditional vows. We want to plant a flower/tree together and use soil from each of our childhood homes.

We went with pretty standard vows, but our exit song was Journey's Don't Stop Believing since we are both huge fans of Detroit hockey and that's the song they play at the end of games when they win - the day was a pretty big win for us Smiley smile

Our friend performed our ceremony and did an amazing job and really managed to capture the essence of us as a couple as well as speak meaningfully about love without getting sappy lol. We wrote and spoke our own vows. We had a quick ceremony which is what we wanted.

We wanted a quick ceremony and we definitely got that! It started at 4:30 and by 4:40 we were signing the registry book. It was perfect. We also had the perfect song that reflected us as they declared us husband and wife

The officiant sent us several ceremony/vow options they had. We selected the different passages that we liked best and combined into a version that represented us.
