Hoping for the best outcome- update!

I have great news! I called the hotel and we are able to have our ceremony at the hotel! I just have to contact the vendors to let them know of the changes and time change and make new invitations. We are having our ceremony at 2:30 p.m. and the cocktail reception for 5:30 p.m. And dinner at 6:30 p.m. My FH and I are so happy and relieved as this was a difficult area to deal with. Plus, we get the wedding we wanted!Smiley smile

Thanks Valerie! The ceremony would last for about 30-45 minutes approximately as we are meeting with our commissioner to see the full details. The good thing is the venue is close to parks abd The Forks that guests can go to, the hotel has a hospitality room where guests can stay if they don't want to go home . We wanted to move our cocktail reception and dinner earlier as our original start time would have been 6:30 pm and dinner at 7:30 p.m. Our venue is central so the distance is not bad if guests choose to go home and return back.

Congrats Simone! Glad you were able to sort everything out! Val makes a good point on the ceremony timing!!! Might want to look at the time gap there.

    That's fantastic news!!!

Though I notice there is 3 hours between your ceremony start and the cocktail hour, how long is the ceremony? It will be very awkward for guests to wait around 2+ hours for the cocktail reception, especially when they don't need to travel to a different location now (and most people would wouldn't want to go home just to have to come back shortly after). Can you move the ceremony back a bit to close that gap?
