Hoop or no hoop

Jade, on October 23, 2019 at 12:17 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 6
Hi everyone! I have a ballgown dress and wanted to get something to help it poof out a bit more. I'm trying to decide between a no hoop petticoat with stiff fabric and a hooped one, any suggestions? Thanks!

The bridal shop suggested a hoop petticoat because it’s pouffier and it stays off your legs which makes it easier to walk and dance in

This is a good question, thanks for asking. I'm undecided myself. I have to see them on me first.

I bought a hoop skirt but ended up not wearing it. I decided against the extra poof last minute. But I wish I had worn it because my dress was so warm, having it off my legs would have been glorious!
All that said, the hoop seemed very discrete when I tried it on and I don't think it would show when dancing.

Thanks so much Meaghan! Do they stick out when dancing/dipping/ sitting or standing close to people?

The hoop petticoat will keep the fabric off your legs and make walking much easier. I like the hoop ones just for that reason.
