Help! Weddingwire Wedding Website Confusion

Audrey, on March 22, 2022 at 16:40 Posted in Tech support 0 7

Hi everyone, I'm getting really frustrated trying to create my RSVP page on my WW wedding website. Did anyone else run into problems? Wonder if anyone has advice for how to do the following (I've searched the help pages and not finding what I need):

1. how to change the menu options (there is a "+" sign to add menu options but nothing happens when I click it)

2. how to gather food allergies/restrictions from guests when they RSVP

3. if you don't know the name of someone's plus one (or they haven't decided yet), how do you give them the option to bring someone, provide you their name, and select the meal option for them?

TIA for any help! I really wish WW offered help by phone, it would be so much less stressful if you could get immediate help and not have to go back and forth on email.

Go to your guest list in the event and click on their name. If they RSVP'd, their profile should show their choices along with comments.

That IS annoying. I'm not seeing the comments in the app/browser though either. Are you able to describe where I'll find that? Thanks a lot!

You can see what the individual wrote in comments/notes via the website/app but it doesn't look like that info gets tracked when you download the excel. Basically you have to click through everyone's RSVP in your guest list to make sure they wrote something in the comment/notes section. I know, it's annoying and it's one of the many reasons I chose another option over Weddingwire.

Hi Hank, I managed to get the guest list and menus and everything set up and am starting to see RSVPs populating (so exciting!). But, when I tested to see the report, it doesn't show any notes people have entered, so wondering how I will know if anyone indicates any food allergies or gives me the name of their guest? Do you happen to know how I will find this information? Or do I have to save all the email notifications I'm getting and manually keep track of those notes there?

    TIA!

Thanks Hank, that helps. I was using my web browser on computer, but when I click to edit the menu options, I can remove some of the ones that are there but when I click to add new options nothing happens. Seems like a glitch of some sort. Maybe if I reboot and try again it will work.
Otherwise thanks for the other tips, I see what you're referring to and that helps.

Are you doing this via the app or browser? It's A LOT easier on the browser via a computer.

    1 Menu

Under Planning Tools, go to "Guest" and then click on the individual event (ie Wedding or Rehearsal Dinner) and then click "Settings." Select "Track Meals." A list of options come up. Hit Edit at the bottom and you can customize the meal options or take away options.

    2 Dietary Restrictions

When they RSVP, there's a comment box that allows people to add in their allergies and dietary restrictions

    3 Plus Ones

If you want to manually do it, you can add "Person PlusOne" as their first and last name. So if your guest is Sam Smith, you can add SamSmith PlusOne" and when they look up "Sam", they'll find both names. You'll just have to let them know to use that same comment box to add in the real name.

Honestly, WW's wedding websites and RSVP forms are not the greatest which is why we used another platform.
