Help! Wedding Reception Costs

Starting to look at different venues in Edmonton (Sat night reception), & we found one that is $3000
Includes Friday set-up, room set-up & take-down, tables & chairs, BOSE sound system, up-lights, access Sat 10am - Sun 1am

Totally don’t know where to start..& if this is a good price? I tried looking at other places’ reception rental costs but not many venues provide a price on their website (probably because it’s pretty variable?)

Please let me know how much your reception rental costs!! & for how many guests
(we’re planning for 100)

    I’m not sure if it includes all staffing - but I think it does include staffing needed for set-up & takedown

    Parking is included. Help for a venue coordinator is also included in the price, though it wasn’t specified how involved they would be. We’d need to meet with the coordinator to clarify

    I was told $3000 for the Sat night rental but that’s about it (including sound system, uplights, chairs & tables)
    Included in the package is a hall upstairs & a basement downstairs

    Does that estimate also include all staffing? Parking for your guests? Any venue coordinator help?

    It's not bad, might be a little on the high end. There are some that cost more though. Our venue is $1500 for the ceremony and reception space. Includes set-up, tear-down, linens, access on Friday to set up.

    It is time consuming to email all the venues, but I just had a sample e-mail I copied and pasted into a new email for each venue. Worth it though because I found this venue that we both fell in love with!
