Help!!! No walking down the isle...

April, on April 29, 2018 at 07:28 Posted in Wedding ceremony 0 9

Ok, so here's my dilemma. I'm not walking down the isle, we have 5 kids and we are all just going to gather for the ceremony. BUT. This is the first time I will ever have worn a wedding dress, or even had a wedding, and so I'm so at a loss for how to get ready, or how we're supposed to do the whole, seeing each other for the first time thing when all day we will be working hard to get the kids ready etc. I get my hair done at 1, and the ceremony is at 430, so theres 3.5 hrs right there, that he really shouldn't see my hair... HELP HELP HELP!!! I need ideas!

I think you could cover your hair with a scarf or wrap to hide your 'do or you could have others help your FH take care of the kids for those few hours.

Hm well our kids are older, so I dont think the grandparents really need to watch them. Its more just supporting them, as they have anxiety too. So, yes I think the grandparents will come in handy for that! We aren't doing a walk down the isle so we are trying to find a way to make the ceremony begin without that part. But Youre right the grandparents will come in handy!

Do you have family that help with the kids as you two get the time to get ready and take pictures?

At the same time, they cn be with their cousins as you walk down the aisle. If the grandparents cam keep them busy, ypu may get the time needed.

What about wrapping your hair in a scarf after your appt? That way he won’t see your hair but you can both get your children ready.

Nope don’t think you’re crazy at all! I have a hard time with thinking about all the attention being on me too! And 5 boys wow! Lol well your idea is great! Love it, that’ll be so sweet!

I tried to reply to you and my message got lost. Shoot! lol

I was saying thats a great idea, only we have 5 boys! But then I was thinking what about if my boys (the two oldest) help me, and his boys help him, and then our boys lead us blindfolded to each other!! Then the kids get to help with it, we are both sort of placed in the same situation, and I'm not being "on display" so much. I know you will probably think that's crazy that I have trouble with that at.... a wedding, but I really have anxiety over being paraded or put on display!

Can the grandparents help the kids get ready and you guys get ready in separate locations? Or split the girls and guys up and you can get ready with the girls and he can with the boys? Not sure of your children’s genders just a suggestion
