Help for fine, thinning hair!

Rachael, on February 23, 2018 at 01:08 Posted in Beauty 0 6
My hair has always been thin and fine and just overall sad looking. I have been thinking about switching to Nioxin for the next year leading up to the wedding, but I'm unsure of whether or not it actually works. Has anyone tried it with any level of success? I'm nervous about Money due to all of the hair loss stories. Biotin unfortunately does not work well for me as it makes my face break out. Any and all suggestions welcome - I'll try pretty much anything!

I've been reading this article lately and it made me think that just switching to proper shampoo won't work. I've been suffering from thinning hair as you and can say that you need completely rework your lifestyle to fix this. This includes proper nutrition and stress management, and only after that you check your hair routine. But that's only my opinion Smiley winking

I also have thin hair and we have a beauty and the beast wedding theme so i want the princess look.
My hair stylist will put extensions the night before and i will sleep with curling rolls
This way i will have enough volume to do my half up half down with the big curls

We use nioxin and it works! It has a minty smell which I like. Though you should remember it doesn’t give you thick, lushious hair right away. You will start to notice a difference within a couple months maybe 3-6 months. Sooo if you need, start now lol I have the exact same issue. It’s so flat that curling it isn’t a choice bc it goes flat so fast. It can’t hold a curl to save its life. lol

I'm sorry Biotin doesn't work for you, that's what I take. Have you spoken to a dermatologist about your thinning hair? They may be able to provide you with a prescription product that works well for you. And your hair stylist will be able to highlight your hair's strengths and downplay the weaknesses, so have a trial or two and see what can be done. Don't stress, I let worries about my thin hair stress me out before my wedding and had about three hair trials, it all works out beautifully in the end

Nioxin does work, but it's not a drastic fix. You have to have realistic expectations. Taking fish oil vitamins is good for hair, skin and nails. If you treat something from the inside and outside, I find the results are always more noticeable. As Marina said, do not wash your hair everyday. If you wash too much, your hair dries out and becomes weak, but the scalp panics and keeps over producing oil. Also, allowing your hair to air dry is best. I have been growing my hair for 7 years, it has been a veryyyy slow process. Find a hairsryle (for the wedding) that makes you feel confident 😗 We are always so hard on ourselves.

I am not trying gang particular product. However when I was a child and adolescent my hair was thin as well. About 10 years ago I stopped washing it every day and instead I only wash it twice a week and apply dry shampoo 4 times a week. And I have seen dramatic change as my hair is like thick now. About the face, I am also not doing something different but I use scrub every morning in my shower and I apply anti-aging cream, eye serum and sunscreen every day and my skin looks really great. I also do not use any primer or foundation. I hope this helps Smiley smile
