    Congrats on your engagement!

WW Checklist is a helpful tool to get you started. Some of the tasks will not be needed if you feel its not in your budget. Another great tool is the WW Budget to set what your amount for each category.

Another way of looking at planning is rental vs. purchases. Rentals are great on the lower price cost and returned after the event. Purchases for some items are given due to what you will need for use or passing on the family. Décor and colours will be something to consider when talking to vendors.

Vendors and venue should be booked when possible to ensure your date is secure with the deposits.

    Congratulations!
Honestly as cliche as it might sound. Start with going to a local bookstore (I went to indigo) and get a wedding planning guide book. From here, definitely start with a budget and then start looking on Pinterest! I researched things I liked and didn’t like for months before starting to contact vendors and locations. This way you have a good bison first and don’t have to fit your vision into a place after.
    Hope that helps!

We started with talking about what was most important to each of us (photos, food, dj etc) and then we built a rough guest list. Knowing how many are attending will change your budget and effect the size of the space you need.

Hi Cheyenne, congrats on your engagement!

I would start with a budget. Are you spending what your already have and can comfortably parting with? Or do you need to use the next 16 months to save? Maybe you have the money but want extra to splurge, which you can use the next 16 months for.

Once you have the budget, determine the season. The time of year determines what venues you can use and what you can't (ie no outdoor ceremonies in winter).
