Heel Problem Advice

Megis, on July 24, 2018 at 14:47 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 7
I need to know the best ways to work in my heels. The straps at the bottom need some stretching. They are plastic as far as I can tell. Aside from just wearing them is there a spray or technique you know of?

Go back to Aldo and ask them to stretch them out a bit for you! They have special devices to stretch the shoes without ruining them!

Wear them around your house watching TV.

Depending on how much stretch is needed, wear thick sock when you to wear them to encourage stretching.

I've heard of the blow-drying method, use the lowest heat/air setting so you don't damage your shoes. I've never done this before but seen it on Pinterest.

I would wear them around the house with some thick socks on, this will generally stretch the material. I would check periodically how they feel without the socks as you don't want to make them stretch too much.

Also putting athletic tape around the edges of your toes sometimes helps if they are rubbing while trying to break them in, just creates a barrier between your toes and the shoe and prevents blisters.

I've heard you can put the. In the freezer to help loosen them up! I've seen people put bags of water in the. To freeze so they expand a bit! I have not tried this myself but I've seen it around a lot I'm for sure going to try it with my shoes!

I've heard of wearing them with socks on and blow dry them. Walk around the house while they cool off. I'm not sure if that is for all shoes or if it has to be a certain type of material but my friend at work swears by it.

Depends on the material. But I find wearing hem with a thin pair of socks is the best way. Put them on before sitting down to watch a movie.

The problem I have found with some of those “tricks” to stretch your shoes is that they can overstretch shoes if they are made of synthetic materials or misshape them or even ruin the material or finish.
