Head Table Backdrop

Becky, on August 6, 2019 at 15:49 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 10

What have you guys done for the head table backdrop? I did it basicly all DIY- barn board in 4 sections of 4 feet then I have lights to hang off of it, I rented a sheer twinkle light to go in the middle.

so imagine the below!

2 barn board sections - twinkle light sheer backdrop - 2 barn board sections

The issue is we could only get some boards and it adds up to 16 feet in the 4 sections and 6ft of the sheer twinkle lights. so total of 22ft and my head tables go 32ft.

so it would be about a table and half with no backdrop. We would ovb center it so its not too noticeable.

Would this be a big deal that some of the people don't have a backdrop behind them?

I don’t think it’s a big deal! If anything out white curtains on the ends to make a plane background for these areas. Otherwise sounds great!

Our backdrop won't span the whole length of our table, and still think it works. As long as it's centered, it should be fine. Ours is just an arch, and there will be six people (us included) at the head table.

Considering the length of the backdrop, the head table can be broken down to 2 head tables. The far back being a sweetheart for you both with the front table seating the wedding party/family. The proportions will be better and fit your backdrop nicely.

We are using my bridesmaid's backdrop that she used for her wedding - it's a sheer fabric draped over metal poles and lighting.

After the ceremony we are moving the wedding arch to behind the head table as out backdrop. that way we save money on decorations and we empty the ceremony space so they can clean it and use it straight after

I think as long as you and your FH have a backdrop that will be fine. If you are cantering it it will look ok.
Plus most of the pictures of the head table will just be you and your FH!
