Has anyone done their makeup and hair trial yet ?!

Honestly, have a few photos, your 'first choices', second, back up, etc... She should be able to tell by looking at your hair, feeling it's thickness, seeing the length, asking you how your hair holds curl, etc, if certain styles are obtainable, before even doing any styling.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. My stylist did my hair trial in an hour, and she told me if I had doubts and wanted to try something else I could.

Also, remember that a lot of posed photos have extensions and fillers in there, and they've been posed for a photo, the style may not last very long in real life... so hopefully your stylist can make suggestions and a plan that will give you the look you want, that will last the whole night.

I got mine done! I am SO grateful I did! I thought I knew what I wanted to do with my hair but my artist did her thing and put my hair up (I wanted it down) and it was AMAZING!!!!! it's hard to imagine yourself based off photos online! I recommend going in with ideas but be open! They are the artists and know what's best sometimes!!!

I did a hair and make up trial in October when we were in Canmore to check out some stuff. I did it more to make sure the vibe with me and the hair and makeup artists were good. I’ve decided since the trial that I’d like my hair done differently (and they are totally cool with that) and I’ll make some tweaks to the makeup as well. I’m so glad I did mine, as we won’t be arriving in Canmore (from Winnipeg) until 2 days before the wedding and now I’m confident that I’ll be able to ask for something I want.

Yes and yes! I promise they help ease your mind so much. After my makeup trial, I asked her for certain tweaks on our Wedding day. Took a couple trys to find the right shade of lipstick and once we found it, she wrote down the brand and name so I could buy a full tube. It cost me $6.47 for Maybelline on rollback at Walmart. As far as hair trials... my MOH has her own salon so she plays with styles a lot. I have a full hair trial with head piece or comb 2 weeks before our Wedding. I trust her completely plus she'll be with me all day being my MOH. It's worth it!

Although I haven't had any hair or make up trials yet - I am not too worried about it. If at the end of the day I'm not happy with what I have, I can straighten my hair and put my own makeup on.

At the same time the trial should help you get a better feeling and if you absolutely need I'm sure that for a price you could pay to have more than one trial done.

Maybe try one of those apps that let you put on different kinds of makeup using your camera?
