Hair Time Frame

Darlene, on July 22, 2021 at 18:47 Posted in Beauty 0 8
Does anyone know when the salon should start doing your hair if you have a 4:00 wedding. I have 4 people being done including myself and they want to start at 11:00. Is this too early? I don’t want our hair to have fallen out before the wedding even starts.
Any feed back would be great.

I have 4 people for a 4:00pm ceremony and our hair is 8:15am due to makeup starting at 12.00pm.
We wanted enough time for travel back and forth, time to eat, get ready and not rush the day.
I think you will be ok time wise. Hairdressers are pros and they will know exactly what to do to keep your hair looking the best it can for the big day. Just talk to them, share your concern and let them work their magic 🙂

It sounds about right to me especially because it’s about 4/5 people.

I'd talk to the hairdresser about it. They'd have the best advice - I'm sure they've done this plenty of times! It could hopefully just mean adding some hairspray (I'd get one recommended) throughout the day.

That’s my worry. My daughter wants hers curled and half up and her hair doesn’t hold a curl that well. Myself and mom are having an up do so I think we should be alright.

We started hair and makeup at 8:45 am. Our first look was at 2 ish and our ceremony was not until 5:30. I wasn't worried at all about my hair staying in and I didn't have to. I know my sister was worried about her blowout falling flat but that's another story...

I wouldn't worry about the hair being done too early, especially since you have four people. Just make sure someone is helping you keep time so you can factor in time to eat, put on makeup, get dressed, and most importantly travel between locations (salon, house, ceremony site).

I have to go to them but they called this evening saying they triple book weddings for that day. They switched from paper to electronic books and apparently overlooked my spot that I book way back in April for a September wedding.
They said they are trying to accommodate everyone. I just done know what the time line looks like for the day so I’m nervous we will be getting our hair done too early.
She said that 2 people can go first and 2 after they are done. I’ll have myself until last but worry about the other girls. As for lunch I didn’t really think of that. I want my lunch to be light and not make me look bloated because my dress is very tight fitting. Sorry for the novel. Lol

Sounds about right. Most friends who had a mid-late afternoon ceremony had their hair and makeup done at around 10am.

Are they coming to you or are you going to them? That makes a difference.

11am is a weird time though because depending on how extensive the work is, it eats into lunch hour. You eat too early, you'll be starving by the time dinner rolls around. You eat after the appointment and you either have to eat light or risk being bloated for dinner.
