You'll love it! If you can find a small business not a chain or a spa to get it done like I did you'll love it and it was extremely affordable I got both legs done a full Brazilian and my underarms for 80 bucks ! I'm in love! I feel so great!

I just shaved my legs the night before the wedding. I would have liked to do waxing but didn't have the time before the wedding and it can be expensive! I have done a bikini wax before and it wasn't that bad. (Though I've been told I have a pretty high pain tolerance.) I think if you psych yourself out it makes it worse!

Might have to try that body sugar sometime!

I found the home stuff is not bad, but I noticed that I had burned myself which was minor. I just go to a lady that does it for me and it is much better, plus there is no chemicals involved as its all natural.

I really like threading for my eyebrows and I think I will go and have that done for the wedding. I usually shave or epilate (shaving when I am lazy) so I might just stick with that. I have never had professional waxing or sugaring done of my legs and underarms. I used to sugar my own legs which I really loved and between that and the epilating there isn't much hair on my legs anymore. I would consider professional sugaring (or waxing but I prefer sugaring) before the wedding so I don't need to worry about it on honeymoon. I am going to Maui in February so I could possibly do a test run then.

I would second this very good advice. My cousin was talked into getting her eyebrows waxed the day before the wedding. She normally just left them go wild and free. The poor thing ended up being allergic to the wax and had to go to the emergency room, either late the night before or early the morning of the wedding because her eyes were swollen shut and get an allergy shot. She looks beautiful in her photos but it was way more stress and excitement than anyone needs before their wedding! Do a test of anything new well before the wedding!

I would say I have been sugaring for about 7 years and it only stings for about 20 seconds but it does get better. I would test an area to see how you react. The more you do sugar it can last for a long time. I found that it would last for about a month or more. So far it now been about three to four months as the hair gets thinner.

I second the don't try anything new - I'm currently rocking untamed eyebrows to let them grow in as much as possible before I have them shaped and maintained by a pro

Hmmmm well I usually wax my brows and bikini but shave my legs... I'm hoping to do laser next year and see! It would be so nice not to wax ever again! One of the things I will do is whiten my teeth!! Not radioactive white lol just a natural shade whiter.

Waxing isn't all that bad, I usually only do it when I'm going on a beach vacation so that I don't have to shave while I'm away, but it doesn't bother me at all. So I'll probably wax so I won't have to shave on the honeymoon.

I've done laser before, and it's great... but takes awhile to see results

I would recommend not testing out something different within a month of the wedding! I know some places I've gone to to get my eyebrows done have wax/people that don't do it right and when I got mine done last a day before my engagement photos... my eyebrows had gone red and bumpy and hurt and looked awful! So I definitely suggest if you want to try something different for the wedding to go a few months before to see how your skin will react

If you try waxing take an advil a little bit before your appointment. It will still hurt, but it will prevent swelling!

The bikini hurts like a bitch- I occasionally do the whole. damn. area. and yeah, you need a drink after. But it is totally worth avoiding the hassle for an extra week or two.

Maybe I'll get a sugar kit and report back- I am curious!
