Hair and Makeup for Flowers Girls?

Miav, on July 25, 2019 at 23:38 Posted in Beauty 0 7
Should I include my flower girls (a 4, 7, and 8 year old) for the make up and hair list of the MUAs and hair artists? One child will cost 80cad, I'm just wondering if its worth it since the makeup may be very light and just simple hair with a flower crown? Any thoughts? TIA! Smiley smile

One of the main reasons my FSIL opted out of make up/hair was so she could do her own (she's really good) and her daughter's (the flower girl). They are still getting ready with the big group, but the flower girl is more shy with strangers as well.

Thanks! I'm thinking to do this too. The 4 yr old might not be too comfortable with the stranger MUA anyway. Perhaps one bridesmaid (relative) can do it Smiley smile

I wouldn't, mostly because I'm not including the flower girl (6 years old), who is my soon-to-be niece. Her mom is my FSIL and a bridesmaid who is doing her own hair/make up and will do her daughter's hair/makeup.

My MUA doesn't include anyone under 14 for a full make up application, but will do lip gloss/little blush for anyone under 14. My hair stylist would do simple styling too but figured it's less hassle to have my FSIL do her daughter's look since she's more familiar with her mom.

I personally think $80 CAD isn't worth the minimal styling, I would see if their mom/another trusted adult would be able to.

I would say if its something you want then yes- my mua gives me two free flower girls and for hair I didn't ask because only one actually has any hair to do something with. If its something you want and in your budget 100% your decision.

I mean I wouldn't - kids that young don't need makeup (I didn't wasn't aloud to wear makeup until I was 12 years old...) and hair that easy would be no problem for just anybody to grab a curling wand and save the money.

-The flower girls can of course wear something like lip gloss and have somebody in the bridal party apply it so they feel like part of the group though Smiley smile

It really is up to you and what is in your budget. I only have 1 flower girl and the woman doing my hair and makeup only does hair on flower girls so its a lot cheaper. It is still their time and their products so I understand the cost, but it will also make them not look washed out in any of your pictures.

Is there anyone in the wedding party who can do hair or makeup that would be able to do it for them while they are waiting to get theirs done?
