Groomsmen. What should be matching?

There is always a choice to match thw grromsmen ina different colour suit for a traditional wedding. Rustic or modern weddings can have thw groomsmen wesribg their style given the dress shirt is the same.

I would say the suit would have to compliment the bride and especially the groom. We are not too strict.

They don't have any guidelines except look good and wear a suit!

Moores website sucks so I can't find a pic... I'll take one of FH and the GM ties when I get home later. I'm undecided on the GM ties, but they were a great deal and I think they're work. I have the 2 BM in teal and 2 in turquoise, so instead of trying to find ties to match their colours, I found a tie with both colours! Now I just need to hunt for a pocket sqaure that also has both to match.

I'm really excited for FH's tie, I eyeballed the colour and it ended up matching perfectly!

Ooo I want to see the ties! That's a great deal! For my groom's tie we had a purple one that actually had little hidden Mickeys on it if you looked closely! We loved it because it was a really nice tie and you only notice the Mickeys if you know where to look so it was a little secret for us!

I haven't gotten too far with the groom/groomsmen yet. There are only 2 groomsmen so I think they should match the groom with suits. We may do coloured vests that are different or ties or something like that but nothing too drastic because we are a little wedding I want some uniformity.

We're doing something kind of similar. FH will match me (with purple accents) and the GM will match the BM with teal/turquoise accents

We wanted FH to buy a suit for the wedding (his only suit fits him horribly and renting was almost as expensive) so I'm not having all the GM buy a new suit to match... so they can wear their own black suits, or rent if they so choose. I already bought the ties for them (they were on sale BOGO so they're just going to pay me back), so they just have to get a white shirt and a pocket square. I'm making my own life simple by not asking much of this group (half of which are my brothers... so I know how undependable they can be)

We only have the BM, GM JR GM and ring boy - they will all be in the same light grey tux and coral accessories. FH will be in a tux that is a little bit of a darker grey than the others with the same coral accessories

We only had one groomsmen so we didn't get to play around with this too much! I like the idea of each groomsmen having something a little different like the socks!

When we were reserving the tuxes for my groom and the Best Man, the salesperson was saying that the groomsmen generally have a coloured vest and the groom wears the vest that matches the suit. (Like grey or black) I didn't really like that though and since I was wearing a purple sash, I wanted to match my groom and not his Best Man! I'm so glad we switched it!
