Time to order our seating chart! I need some help with grammar though. We are having a short cocktail reception, so we don't really want everyone sitting around at tables.....

Family
Table 4-10

Is "friends" ok without an apostrophe?
Should I make table plural? Tables or Table's?
My brain is mush this week.

I thought of this as well. I only put friends first because when you walk into the hall, the 3 friends tables are the first tables you'll pass. I may switch this though. Thanks for the detailed reply! 😀

Colour codes. Neat idea!!! Eliminates table #'s on each table too. Thanks for the suggestions!

Or, instead of numbers, you could use different colours for the sections.
For example:
Friends
Blue Tables
Family
Green Tables
Or, whatever your wedding colours are.

Friends is right (no apostrophe needed in this case)
I would put Tables since there is more than one table in each section.

I don't know if you want to worry about this.. but some family might be 'offended' that they aren't at the first set of tables... I've had people complain to me that they feel like 1 is most important and 10 is least important. If that's a concern you could flip it around so it's

Tables 1 - 6

Friends
Tables 7 - 10.

No apostrophes! You only use apostrophes when you are showing ownership (ex. That is my friend's car). But because you are telling them where to sit, it is "friends" and "tables".
