After a long discussion of whether to postpone or not we decided to continue with our July 2020 date with 5 person max in our province
With the possibility of large group gatherings limits to be in place for 12-18mths we so no need to wait til next year in case it was also be postponed. We also have relatives in the healthcare field and family members who are health sensitive. To exclude them now or then would not be considered so we chose to have our wedding and share different ways with family and friends.
We have been together for 9 years and this is right for us. We are disappointed we can’t have our friends and family from across Canada attend but we will be taping wedding and attempting live stream.
We will still have a catered meal and wedding cake, and I am trying to convince my fiancé to have our first dance in our front yard so we can share it with neighbors.
Next summer if group restrictions lift we are considering to have an anniversary party at our home with close family. With most money saved by not having reception we are putting towards honeymoon which we weren’t originally going to have due to finances.
Wish us luck!!
