Globe guestbook

I would suggest paint markers, I believe sharpie has these. I think they will hold up better in the long run.

As for painting, I think if you are still wanting to keep the "world" part of it, I would paint all the black and use a gold paint marker for writing.

I think that's a great idea and I love the globe! I would maybe go to Michaels and see what they have for markers

The globe looks great as it is. Simple is better than making complex. Its a unique concept you're having as a guestbook.

That's a pretty nice globe. Painting it so that the country/ocean names aren't visible would make the guest signatures look less cluttered but at the same time, it can be time consuming and tedious (especially getting around the island nations without ruining the look of the borders).

I would only do it if having the geographical names really bug you, you're confident with your brush skills, and you have the time to do it. Otherwise, I'd leave it as is.
