Funny faq website

Tanisa, on August 30, 2020 at 01:55 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 9

I am needing help trying to word a couple of my FAQ!

I need a funny or sarcastic way to answer the following questions on my FAQ page of the website

Can I take pictures? (Ceremony no, we have two photographers, reception yes!)

What about booze? (Wine is provided on tables, all other booze is a cash bar)

Can I bring my kids? ( we are having an adult only wedding)

This is an example of the humour I’ve used in the other ones.

Can I smoke?

The venue requests that you only smoke in approved smoking areas outside of the venue. Please do not leave cigarette butts on the ground, as the squirrels will get at them and the venue has gone through great lengths to get them to stop smoking

    Hey Kayla,

Thank you for the link! I am going to check that out right away. We are only having our ring bearer and flower girls at the wedding and they will be leaving before the ceremony. The sarcastic FAQ page is honestly great. I've shown it to a couple friends and family and they love it.

This is what I put for the kids question on the FAQ:

We respectfully ask that this be a childfree event. While we love your children, we want you to be able to enjoy yourselves without worry! We invite you to use our night to hire a sitter, have that extra glass of wine, and let your hair down!

    Hey Tanisa,

I found a really good article, not so much as funny but a nice polite way of addressing cards and dealing with the whole 'no kids'. We are also doing the no kids rule, although we love kids we are looking to get everyone away from their kids to celebrate and really enjoy themselves for a night. On top of it we don't have many "kids" in our family which is a bonus, but some of our friends do, so I'm only allowing "1 child" he's far from a kid absolutely mature etc, he's 11 but is totally not a typical 11 year old. Anyways, this article I found super helpful on Pinterest: https://ohmydesignsbysteph.com/2020/04/no-kids-wedding-invitation-wording/

p.s I like your sarcastic ways of addressing it on your FAQ page I totally will be using these Smiley smile

Can I take pictures? We want beautiful pictures of our ceremony, not shot after shot ruined by Aunt Deb getting in the way with her giant iPad with the camera pointed the wrong way, so please only take pictures during the reception!

Works best if neither of you have an Aunt Deb!

    Can i take picrures?
Why not unless you get backed up by the paparazzi. There are no guarantees you will get through only for reception which is better of a view of us.

What about booze?Enjoy a full evening of wine provided at the table given you pay on our behalf at the bar after its all gone. By the way, its cash bar to support our funds. LOL.
Can i bring my kids?We would love to see them with the exemption of the celebration being Adult Evening Only. We will be happy to come see them when we visit.

Can I take pictures: we hired 2 rather expensive professionals to capture our ceremony, so keep your cameras/phones/iPads tucked away. But during the reception feel free to Instagram the $#!+ out of the newlyweds.
