Friday Favours!

We are thinking of doing custom pencils because we are both teachers

We're giving heart topped bottle stoppers and probably custom printed shot glasses. Hoping that people will want to keep them in their bars!

We are doing jars of honey! My uncle is a honey farmer and i grew up working on the farm during extraction season, so honey has always been close to my heart. Plus, if anyone leaves it behind it wont go to waste.

We’re making little jars of homemade jam with fruit that we pick from my FH hometown

We're doing potted plants. They will be used as our centrepieces first. I didn't want to spend too much money so figured I would get a double use out of as many decor as possible!

We're doing book marks! I am an avid reader and we have vintage books as our centerpieces. The hearts on the book marks are detachable (there's a printed heart underneath) and they are made of wild-flower seed paper. Which is my FH all over.

So people can plant the hearts for some wild flowers!

Hot chocolate mixes!!

People have been giving me weird looks, left right and centre, about having a January wedding... but I love the coziness of being inside with candles and soft lights with the (hopeful) possibility of snow. My Pinterest research left me dreaming of s'mores & hot chocolate bars, but reality told me it wouldn't happen....

UNTIL! I found my venue... and the buffet option we are choosing gives us the option to have the 'premium' dessert option which is: *drumroll* a s'mores bar!!! I'm so excited!

So, I decided I would still incorporate the hot chocolate as well for the favours!

We're doing mini jars of homemade salsa

As an out-of-town guest to most weddings (lately anyway), I'd rather have something I can eat/drink or use on the spot. Having to fly back home with a plant isn't ideal.

For that reason, we'll be offering a drink ticket as our favor to our guests. We're only offering wine at dinner and the rest of the evening will be a cash bar, so we thought it would be a good idea to kick off our cocktail hour with a free drink.

We gave everyone a small jar of homemade spice rub.

I love succulents but due to several guests flying in, we’re leaning towards gourmet donuts or cupcakes!
