I used Paperless Post. Remove the "envelope" in the editing section and it'll be 100% free! I loved it, I was able to collect addresses really easily for my actual invitations.

I wish I knew though its hard to really rely on what's free and the hidden costs of websites.

I know for a fact that paperless posts has a 'free' section under their 'Save the Date' section, because it's what I used to send my save the dates.

They're beautiful, and give you plenty of tools to keep track of which guest RSVP and their contact information. The cost starts to kick in if you want to add stuff like fancy liners, or envelopes.

    Paperless post.

When you pick "save the dates" from the drop down, theres a box on the left hand side of the screen that says "Free". Click that and you'll only see the free options.

Just don't add anything fancy like an envelope and liner, and it'll stay free.

Paperless post is really great because you can track who has opened them, and you can even add an RSVP option, which we used for our rehearsal dinner.

My sister used greenvelope.com for her save the dates as well as invitations for her destination wedding. They turned out great and I’m 99.9% sure they were free.
