    Hi Emilie!

I do have colours; navy blue, purple, tourquise. Inspiration came from the blue orchid so those are the colours I am aiming for!

I will definitely take a look at those blogs! If I can make the flowers and bouquets myself I would love to do that! Something similar to Samtam's style is what I had in mind

    Thank You!

Definitely team paper! We did paper flowers and they were the highlight of our wedding! People are still talking about it. Our theme was Our Story and we integrated vintage books throughout our wedding so the paper flowers went perfectly. I love that we didn't have to worry about them wilting, they were much more lightweight than real flowers and we got to keep them after the wedding! They were also less expensive than real flowers and you can have whatever flowers you want, not just what's in season.

I got my flowers from More Paper Than Shoes on Etsy and she is a genius! The quality is amazing and she was so great to work with. She actually made my flowers while undergoing cancer treatment. (And she is now in remission! So happy for her!) Here are some of my flowers from my wedding:

I used a Cricut machine to put the petals, but there are tons of tutorials online to do your own. Lia Griffith is an AMAZING site for making paper flowers. You have to get a monthly subscription to the site ($7/month), but you can download as many templates as you want, it is COMPLETELY worth it!!! She has a bunch of flowers made with crepe paper that look almost real, they are amazing, I didn't use them because I wanted to print lyrics and music on mine but some of them had me tempted...

Real flower will depend on a number of things. Every flower shop will have different prices, it depends what is in season and what isn't - if you have to order something out of season, it will likely cost more. It will also depend on how big you want the bouquet ect.

I got mine for $150 and my bridesmaids one for $75... Mine is the purple one, and my bridesmaids one's are the ivory roses.

I agree with Valerie. I chose silk flowers as it is cost effective and coat less than real flowers.

Team paper all the way!!!! I love my paper flowers and I'm really excited to put them in a shadow box and hang in our home when the wedding is over! I made mine myself so I saved A LOT!! My totaly cost was under $10 (I had most of the supplies already and I only wanted a small bouquet... just can't be bothered to carry a big one, plus then it blocks my gorgeous dress Smiley winking )
