Flowers for other important people

Allison, on January 16, 2019 at 14:13 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 8

Hi everyone, Happy Hump Day!

We booked our florist over the weekend so happy that that's one thing checked off the checklist! Anyways while talking to her, we told her we are getting the following:

Bridal bouquet

Bridesmaids bouquets x4

Groom's boutonniere

Groomsmen boutonnieres x3 - best woman is getting a boutonniere if she wears a suit, corsage if she goes the dress route.

Dads' boutonnieres x2

Mother of the Bride corsage x1

FH's dad's girlfriend corsage. FH's mom isn't coming to the wedding.

We only have one living grandparent (my grandma) between me and my FH and thinking of getting her a corsage too. Also my godmother is doing a lot of the decorations so we were thinking of getting her a corsage too. Should we bother with these corsages?

Should we get a boutonniere for our MC (close family friend) and a corsage for his wife, who will be helping out my godmother?

Only one out of the four we're not sure of getting flowers for will be in pictures which is my grandma so I was thinking if anyone should get a corsage it's her? But my mom made the point of making godmother, MC, and his wife feel special with flowers since they helped out.

Thanks for posting this! I’m going to call and get my grandmother a corsage as well! What a wonderful idea.

That's the thing, I was thinking the MC so he can be identified at the reception. His wife will be doing a lot of beforehand stuff with my godmother so I'm on the fence with her.

For my godmother, she would have been my mom if anything ever happened to my parents when I was younger and she's essentially our decorator so it would be a nice gesture but then would the MC's wife want one since she is doing a lot of help? There's a running joke that I'm their honourary daughter since they only have a son lol

Yeah, considering we only have the one and it's only $15 more for another smaller corsage, it's not too bad at all.

Our flower girl is getting silk petals to throw and our ring bearer will be one and a half, so he won't care lol.

Considering we only have the one living grandparent, it's not the end of the world to get another corsage for her. Plus she will be in some photos. The others won't be

I think that would be great, I will be probably giving to our grandparents for sure, and the MC - but not his wife. As for your Godmother, I mean, you may as well?

I am not getting anything for MC's, but I would have liked to do grandparents. We have a lot that are planning on attending however, so that was out of budget.

    I think that's a great idea!

I did not get for our MC (FH's cousin) or grandmother or godmother. But we did get corsages for our Flower Girls and Boutonnieres for the Ring Bearers!

I do like the idea of something for the grandmother though... I will have to think about that thank you!
