That's awful. I will definitely do this with orders from there. I'm pretty lucky as my mom is retired and home mostly, but always better to be safe than sorry!

I used Etsy for a lot of my wedding purchases as well. My only advice is when they send it to you is to make sure that they require a signature to deliver the package! Wedding stuff is precious cargo so you would think the sellers would be mindful of that but I ordered some shirts for my bridesmaids to wear at the bachelorette party and they got stolen off my doorstep within 2 hours of delivery because they just left it at the door. The seller wouldn't refund me or replace the shirts. (She offered me a 30% discount if I wanted to re-order. Why would I pay twice for something I never received?) Because they are individual sellers, they're not responsible in the same way that a normal store would. I tried to appeal to Etsy but they said it's at the individual seller's discretion. The seller told me to file a claim with the post office but the post office denied it since the package was "delivered." Luckily I was able to appeal it through my credit card company eventually but it was quite the ordeal!

We had to update all of our registries and packages with wedding supplies to be sent to my mom instead of us and then we would have to coordinate picking up packages from her which was a pain. I still love Etsy and have bought lots of stuff from there but I learned my lesson in not requiring better shipping!

I think we have decided to change our FG dress color to have a little pop of color. I shall look on ETSY.

I feel like they have a much wider variety as well. And yes there is other better than supporting an private sellers instead of corportaions. I too have had great experiences commuicating with the sellers.

Off topic of the flower girl dress - I got a ton of stuff off ebay as well for the wedding. $25.00 3m long veil with lace trim and it is so pretty. That's just one of many steals from there.

I was just going to suggest Etsy!! They are freaking adorable, reasonably priced (plus you're supporting a person rather than a corporation) and most sellers will work with you to get the colour you want! We're ordering our FG dress there and the seller went and got the colour I was looking for for the sash (even when I was just asking questions, not decided to purchase with her yet)
