Hey all justed to give you a friendly tip so you don't go through the same stress I just did!

When you are talking and making plans with your florist, MAKE SURE you arrange a mock up of your centrepieces!

I had 2 meetings with our florist, explained what I wanted. Then something dawned on me: What if they don't understand my vision or I didn't explain myself well?

When on instagram I saw them advertising mother's day arrangements, so I emailed them and asked them to make me a mock up of my centerpiece and I'll use it to decorate the table for our Mothers Day lunch!!! THANK GOD I DID!

The arrangement was no where near what I asked for or in my mind! Can you imagine if I saw that on my wedding day!? I would have been mortified! Nothing against the florist either because they worked with me to get it right but clearly there was miscommunication or misunderstanding.

So do yourselves a favour and get a sample done! Even if they charge you a bit extra it's better then hating your flowers are the day of your wedding!

This is one of the main reasons why I haven't decided on a florist! Glad you figured everything out!

Wow! Definitely a huge difference from the first picture! I never did fresh flowers, but certainly, something to have considered or will keep in mind for some of my friends' weddings coming up.

I agree 100%!!!! I paid for a mock-up of my wedding centerpiece for the exact same reason - what if I’m not communicating what I’m looking for? I was also very surprised by the floral arrangement! Yes it had the basic size, shape, colors, flowers I had asked for, but I wanted the centerpieces to be looser and there were some flowers I changed! I definitely recommend everyone get a floral mock-up!

That's something I would have just assumed that can't be messed up if I give the flower types that I want but yet here we are - thanks for the tip!

Wow, what a difference! They all still look pretty, but could you imagine having the first or second pic on your wedding! We aren’t using florals, but we still will be doing a mockup before the wedding!

Just to give you an idea of where we started and where we ended up! Huge difference! Originally I had asked for Ombre Florals but we were struggling in getting the right shades. So as we continued to communicate we ended up on the third photo! Which I'm in love with now!
