Flip Out Or Forget It? - DJ plays the wrong song

Joey, on August 26, 2019 at 09:10 Posted in Wedding reception 0 20

It's time for your first dance as a married couple, you take to the dance floor, and -- the wrong song comes on.

Flip Out! Your DJ has one job, to play the songs you picked! You're certain the correct song is written down for them, and now the romantic vibe of the moment is interrupted.

Forget It! You can laugh this off. You'll either dance to the wrong song, or you can walk over to the DJ table and try to sort out the mixup.

Forget it. Would probably just kindly ask the DJ to switch the song if it was a fast song.

The only one I would flip out at is our first dance because it choreographed specifically for one piece of music at a specific tempo.

Forget it. We're not doing a DJ because a dance is not the main entertainment we are doing. They'll be a dance floor and we'll have a music playlist (I have a music/performance background, so it's not going to be a horrible list, I promise :-P )....so if there is a mistake, it's mine. Might feel a little dumb though...lol. Might make a quick jaunt to the laptop to click next song though.

    Forget it!

End of the day its just a song, no matter what happens it will pass by and no one notices it. We had a song that was regular to which the DJ played the remix version. We went along with the flow doing the steps shown to husband and wedding party. It was fun and just great though you know its the wrong song.

Again, for the money we pay, they'd better get their job right. But it would be an easy fix that wouldn't ruin the night.

DJ is my friend. We'll have talked about the playlist for over a year and a half by this point. If she put the wrong song on she'd fix it before I'd have time to freak out.... I'd laugh and forget it.

Forget it, it'd be a funny moment and maybe we'd ask if we can get the right song and have a "last dance" at the end of the night

I'd be upset because our first dance is one of the more unique and special aspects of our wedding, but I'd ultimately just signal to the DJ that it's the wrong song.

I'd be annoyed only because I suck at dancing as is, so when I'm practicing for a certain song - that's the song I'm used to!! I'm not graceful enough to make it up as I go to a different song !! lmao

I would forget it, and enjoy the moment and then just do a re do later. Its something that can be fixed and I wouldn't want to flip out infront of all of our guests!

Forget it. The only people who would know it was the wrong one would be me. No one else would know. So just keep dancing!!

Forget about it! Not going bridezilla over this. Although it's unprofessional and would mean that the tip would now be lower - I would just walk over and correct it.
