We are doing a first look. Our venue has a lounge area before we walk into our ceremony (see picture below). I am going to walk in and surprise him there. Our ceremony is starting at 10:30 a.m. so we do not have a lot of time before the ceremony starts. However, I still want to make this a special moment where he can see me first before everyone else does!

Walking down the aisle for us! I love the first looks but I feel the emotion will be stronger as he sees me for the first time walking down the aisle...

We are doing a first look. It started as a necessity, because we need to do all photos first. We are having a winter wedding so it's dark by 4.30pm, and we also didn't have the budget for a cocktail hour. So now our ceremony is at 4.30pm, straight into the reception.

More and more pros for a first look have come up now. My fiance doesn't like showing emotion in public, so he can have a moment with me, not in front of 100 people. Our hair/make-up and clothes will all be super fresh for photos. And our guests don't have a big gap between the ceremony and reception now.

It also allows us to have our DJ for the ceremony, without tacking on 2-4 hours extra!

We did a first look for our wedding, and it was a great expirience, no regrets. Gave plenty of time for pics and alone time before ceremony.

We haven't really discussed it yet. We are doing a surprise wedding, so from a logistics approach, he will have to see me before the ceremony, but I may be able to convince him to meet me at the photo location for a "first look". Smiley smile

For sure will be doing first look photos before the ceremony. I'm with you on the time thing. Plus this way I can maybe get the crying out of the way and have my makeup touched up for the I do's!
