Hey brides and grooms-to-be!
It might have gone smoothly or been... well not entirely what you expected
Our very first date in 2011 was weird. He never had a girlfriend before me so he asked to hold my hand, sit near me, then asked for our night kiss. So sweet but i liked a man who took control. When we tried again in 2013 he was a man who took control and i fell in love
First date... well it was the day we met. I felt like I didn't shut up haha. And then my grandparents had a ton of family over.. so I am sure Cody felt pretty awkward. But he's toughed it out haha
Funny story lol me being young and naive I assumed it was just a hang out betweeb friends did I later realize that it was totally a date. It was at a Tim Hortons I think it went pretty well since we are getting married next year
Not sure if this counted as our first date but he met me at the beach volleyball courts to watch me play. And an hour later it started down pouring and he stood by the fence in the rain the entire time to watch me play. Craziness.

Awkward!
News years party+ alcohol+ nerves.....nope. not great. Didn't think he would call again after the fool I made of myself. Luckily he has a good sense of humour...so here we are!
First date success. I invited him to a movie and then we stood in the parking lot after the movie talking for a few hours.

We met through a mutual friend! My best friend, Scott, was one of my fiancé's best friends growing up. We all got together to go on a little mudding/four wheeling outing, met in the backwoods of Musquodoboit! We couldn't take our eyes off each other, till I asked him to take me for a ride on his four wheeler, and the rest is history! Now we're due to be married next October, and we've got a beautiful little boy ❤
Hey Jessica! I guess a first date can always be a bit awkward... There's always a certain shyness to reveal who you are to the other person Was it like that for you? Where was your first date?
Not awkward at all! We had a few pints of beer and he walked me home after, probably a good 4-5 hour date. As soon as I went inside I texted him instant connection. That first week we went on four dates together including I'm staying over on the Saturday night.
It was ok, we went for dinner at a pub. It was a bit awkward but so are all first dates so I decided to give it another shot.

Aside from our little four wheeling trek when we first met, we did a lot of coffee dates talking for hours, until we finally went on our first official "dinner and a movie" date. We clicked from the get go, faster than I've ever clicked with anyone.
Successful! We had a 6 hour first date and I immediately texted him afterwards asking when I could see him again. He came over a couple nights later for a 1.5 date because we couldn't wait for our second date. We hung out and made smores with my sisters. We've been inseparable ever since!
It was a not great first date, but it worked out. We met at a wine bar and he didn't seem super interested in me so I left feeling awkward and like I tried too hard. I didn't really care if I saw him or not, but we ended up meeting up and here we are today.
I would say it was a bit of both as we were meeting for the first time in person .... we had chatted for so long via the internet and facetime and text or talked on the phone because he was out west at the time ... so it was a good as anyone would expect given the situation lol
It was a successful date for us. We went and had dinner and then went to see a movie and played arcade games !!! It was fun plus we already knew each other so it wasn't awkward
