    After Dinner. Our cocktail hour is going to take a bit longer than an hour in order for me and my FH to capture all of the posed photos that we would like to have taken, so I would like to get dinner started as soon as we return.

    Ours will be after dinner. It should be a kick off to the dancing. To me it would be weird for us to dance and then everyone sits down for dinner.

    We’re doinng ours before dinner because guests will be up in the mezzanine for cocktail hour and then when our the curtains open to the ballroom first dance starts they can look down on us.

    Every wedding I've been to the first dance has been the kick-off to the dance floor after dinner and speeches were done. I don't see any reason to do it differently. I think it would feel a bit weird for us to dance, then have dinner and speeches, then open up the dance floor.

    We did ours after dinner. The rain has us delayed a little bit, so we wouldn’t have had time to do it before!

    We did our first dance after dinner. We got up after desert and gave our thank you speech and then asked everyone to circle us on the dance floor as we had our first dance. then we right after played an upbeat song to get everyone in the party mode. it worked out great because everyone stayed on the floor and danced!!

    We have not decided on this yet. I was thinking we'd go straight into the first dance when we enter the reception, but I realize I lot of people wait until after dinner... this is a TBD.

    Before! I really want the grand entrance to be immediately followed by our first dance! We're going to come into some dubstep playing and then slow it into a nice dancing song~

    Definitely after! I get hangry and I fell like most guests will want to start with dinner right away, as do I! Our first dance will be around 9pm so not to late for guests who might leave right after.

    Before dinner. We are doing ours right after our entrance to the reception! This way everyone is at their seats, and it is not left to the end when some people may be a little intoxicated or not even at their seats

    After dinner! Part of the dancefloor is hosting the buffet station so it wouldn't work any other way. Shame since we only have our photographer until 6:30pm and our first dance is at 8pm but iPhone cameras are great Smiley winking

    After dinner! Our first dance is more exciting than normal - a lightsaber battle. It may be hard for folks to settle right into dinner after that, so...after dinner it is!

    This one we are still debating - I would love to go straight into our first dance right after the ceremony and before supper but at the same time I may be a bit hangry and just want food. We will have to see what flows better.
