Finding the right store?

Paloma Blanca and Mikaella Bridal are Canadian , and they will customize a gown, as long as they have the pattern for the top and bottom. So if you like the top of one dress in the collection and the bottom of another they can do that for you.
I may have to go that route myself. I find the pics on their site don't do the gowns justice really! I've tried on a few of their gowns and they are amazing on!
Otherwise you might want to check out gowns m Demetrios. They are know for their beadwork. Casablanca Bridal and Eddy K have beautiful beadwork also.

Yes I did just look at a few nice ones! I would be happy to walk down the aisle in any of them but neither store had what I was looking for! I want a satin ballgown with lots of bling - you don't see it very much unfortunately

Check with Saratina Bridal in Oakville and check Promises and Lace in Burlington. They may have some. I'm going to BluIvory and Felisha Bridal this weekend in Toronto so I'll see what there plus size selection is like and let you know!

I know of two stores in Courtice and one in Whitby. I do bridal boutique and one love one dream bridal in courtice, bliss bridal in whitby! David's bridal has a huge selection as well!!!

I went to Nicholas and Elizabeth bridal in london here ... I am not your average size either and they had all sorts for me to try on... and that is where I found my dress ! the girls there were so lovely! I have also heard great things about davids bridal too we have a nice davids here as well!

Honestly I was SO scared about this too and heard horror stories (my sisters best friend is not even plus size and couldn't fit in stone dresses and the clerk just told her to hold it up in front of her and imagine them ). But it was ABSOLUTELY not an issue!! I'm in the GTA and I found quite a few that specialized in plus size. Davids bridal was great. I ended up getting mine at Best For Bride (they have a few locations) and it was a GREAT experience (I can send you a referral code for like 10% off if you want). I'll check for my list of others when I get home. But seriously don't worry about your size, these shops made me feel amazing!!!
