Finding the perfect Wedding ring

Kelsey, on June 30, 2018 at 21:04 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 10

Im probably setting myself up for failure right now but I'm looking for my perfect wedding ring/band and I'm having a hard time. I really want something unique but i am not willing to pay thousands of dollars.

Has anyone bought rings or fine jewelry from pawn shops? i am thinking of checking a couple out. I had a guy tell me to NEVER buy jewelry from a retail store because they over price it by like 300% and pawn stores have perfect condition stuff and they are much more unique but idk

We got mine from etsy and I LOVE it. It was super affordable and the rings are all super unique! This isn't my exact ring, but it's similar https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/554089251/natural-aquamarine-floral-style?ref=shop_home_active_2

Theres a jeweler out of New York called Vale Jewelry, they have some really beautiful unique pieces. Keep an eye out on Facebook bridal groups, sales at jewelry stores, or stores that are closing down. You could always keep an eye on Etsy. My partner and I both found our rings there. Turned out both being custom orders from a studio in New York. Cost us $1000 for both.

My cousin's husband had a heck of a time finding a wedding band, because he was so particular... and they didn't want to spend a fortune... Finally they went in a pawn shop, and he found an awesome ring with 2 rows of sapphires and one middle row of diamonds... for about $1000...

Now, they were too embarrassed to tell most people it was from a pawn shop... but honestly I think it's a smart way to go.

I think that you can look at pawn shops but I would try something more like Etsy as I am always leery of stolen items at pawn shops.

I guess it depends on how far away your wedding is, but Black Friday, and Boxing Day are amoung the best times to go to jewellery stores. The deals are fantastic! Micheal hill and Janina’s if you have them will usually give you really great deals if you just talk with them Smiley smile
And pawn shops are wonderful too, but I prefer antique shops though if you want something really unique and a good price. I got about 200 strung, genuine pearls for $30 in an antique shop, which I’ll be using to make my wedding jewellery!

Retial Jewellers are going to be expensive yet not going to give discounts too.

I waited until Peoples Jewellers had a sale for simple white gold rings less than $500.

That idea may work and to check out pricing with different companies.

Allow to give yourself time and you will find the right band omin time.

I should also point out that my ring is 14k rose gold band, the diamonds are computer simulated, and it only set us back $286 Smiley smile it really puts prices in to perspective from the big jewelry stores!

My fiance my engagement ring from an etsy shop called sapheena. Mariah was incredible for him to work with, and she is based out of Calgary. Everything is made to order but he said it came in 3 weeks. I have always known i didnt want a jewelry store ring.

We are buying both of our wedding bands from her as well.

This is my ring Smiley smile
