Fiancé(e) Friday - who introduced you?

My brother. I was going to visit my brother and his family for the weekend. Brother said he had a friend coming up the same weekend so maybe we could carpool to save gas money. I agree. Find out months later that my brother had wanted to set us up on a blind date months earlier but after asking his friend decided I would not like that, which I wouldn’t have. A lot less pressure getting a ride with a stranger than going on a date with one!

No one, we met online I introduced myself and made all the first moves from there HAHA however, now I think about it, it was my friend mackenzie who encouraged me to go online

We met at work. I just started talking to him while we were smoking and the rest was history.

FH's childhood friend volunteered where I worked and convinced FH to volunteer with her. So we worked together for a couple weeks of the summer then I didn't hear from him again until he started randomly chatting with me on FB a few months later. This friend ended up being a toxic person and he cut her out of his life a year or so later but I suppose I have to thank her for dragging him along with her 10 years ago.

My best friend set us up. She was working with Fiance pretty much all day everyday (60+ hour work weeks) and eventually invited us both to her house on the same night to "help with yard work". Even though we've been dating for over 5 years we only recently realized the extent to which she orchestrated it.

The version of the story she told me: Fiance had been begging her to set us up for months, and finally she caved even though she has a rule against setting up friends.

The version I recently heard from Fiance: He was kind of seeing someone else at the time and best friend essentially told him to dump her and date me instead because I'm better.

I'm sure the truth is somewhere in between those two versions, who knows if we'll ever find out, but I'm very grateful either way!

Best friend and her husband will be the MOH/BM at our wedding!

My dad introduced us

He was working on the same job site as my hubby and figured we would be perfect for eachother. We essentially went on a blind date a couple days later. 4 years later and we're married!

My ex's roommate introduced us, lol!!

We were friends when I dated my ex - we haven't spoke since the break-up but she introduced me to my FH so I'm happy. A few days before her birthday party, she and I went to invite her crush (who worked with my FH) at their work (university security). My FH was working the desk while the rest of the unit (including her crush) was doing patrols so we figured we hang out until they got back. This was the night shift during summer, so the university wasn't really busy. My FH and I ended up talking the most, with the roommate just kind of hanging out. At some point My FH made a comment about how if I was single, he'd ask me out. I just laughed at the time but once he found out I was single (from this roommate - who also told him to not date me LOL), he asked me out and now 4 years later we're getting married!!

Tinder introduced us hahaha! But after a year of dating, we discovered we actually had a mutual friend! FH was friends with her five years prior to me being friends her, and they had fallen out of touch in that time. Craziest thing is , as soon as we found out, I recalled this friend mentioning my FH in a few stories so I totally KNEW of his existence years before ever meeting him. It gave me chills!

That would be a coworker!
My FH started while I was off doing my exams. So when I came back for my Summer contract, a colleague introduced us before a meeting. That same day, he asked me if I wanted to grab coffee and the rest is history!

No one in particular introduced us. We knew each other when I was 16, and then lost contact. Fast Forward to 2013, my friends and I did a bar crawl and he was bouncing. This was the last stop, so there was quite a bit of alcohol consumed at this point. But he remembered me, and then I messaged him after we had left the bar, and the rest is history!

We actually met online and he was to initiate meeting and had suggested a location- a walk around the lake where he lives type thing but I didn't know him and didn't want to do that lol so we met at Tim's. We ended up doing it for our second date and was really romantic so see why he had suggested first time

A mutual friend

Technically my friend had told me she had somebody in mind for me but at the time I wasn't wanting somebody who had been with loads of girls as I had never even been on a date before. But then when I was at her house for a game night her husband didn't want to be the only dude there so he called his buddy Kael over with plans to go out and drink - only problem was that when he got there he informed him that he is doing a sober month so they both decided to stay back and play games with us. After that he drove me and another friend home (and although geographically it didn't make sense, he went to drop me off last) and that's when we had our first non-official first date in a McDonald's parking lot!

One of our mutual friends in college introduced us. Neil's class ended early and he was supposed to meet a friend at the gym after class so he tagged along with our friend when she came to visit me while he waited. The next day we had lunch and now almost 6 years later we are married

😂 - we met on the street. He was driving, I was walking and he pulled over and started chatting me up. What a story.

I (very briefly) dated his friend in university and he introduced us. We never expected we would end up here!
