Female ushers

Hanna, on June 3, 2017 at 14:02 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 4
Is there a title for female ushers? I have 3 sisters but only 1 of them is a bridesmaid and I wanted the other two to be involved somehow so I was thinking of making them "female ushers" who can give out the programs, bring decors from the ceremony site to the reception, and walk with my mom down the aisle.

Usher is a gender neutral word so the title for female usher would still be usher... You could refer to them as usherettes but it is considered less PC.

Hi Hanna, There are female ushers. It's seems that it is becoming a little more common. I found some links and I hope these help as a guide.
