Female tux

Eija, on January 1, 2020 at 18:25 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 5
Hi all! We’re two brides in our wedding and I was toying with the idea of wearing a tux - fitted yet feminine. Has anyone done this or have any recommendations?

Thanks for the tip everyone! I’ve been looking into Collins and Wildfang, and I’m loving the selection from Wildfang. I’ll post any updates once I settle on an outfit!

Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Eija. As far as I'm aware, these two US websites/brands ship to Canada, check them out -

Wildfang has lots of blazers and trousers you can create a suit from.
    Sumissura is all custom work.

You could also look at suits from high street brands such as ASOS, Topshop, etc, or department stores and use extra tailoring if needed.

Collin's formal wear did our tuxes, including our best woman's and are actually starting a line of tuxes for women! We didn't have this option when DH and I got married, but they did a great job fitting our best woman to a usual guy's tux.

What about zara or rw and co and then just have it altered for better fitting? im sure you could go to any suit store and get a suit altered to your body type (for male or female)

I looked at suits with my fw when we were planning and there were white suits on David‘s Bridal and typical business suits at RW, Nordstrom’s and other business wear but no tuxs. There’s places in NYC but as far as I know, there isn’t a Canadian tailor that fits primarily LGBT customers. You could try and get a men’s tux recut? or If you can afford it, I’d suggest tailor made.
