Faux Wedding Cake

We just had my daughter's wedding last month, had a faux cake, which I got made, & can seen to you. I know an excellent baker who could do the top layer for you, in your choice of colors.

For those couples lookong into fake cakes, bakeries will charge you for the frosting or fondant icing.

To save you all the trouble, go to a craft store to buy styrofoam circles and icing from the grocery store to do it yourself.
The only thing you will pay for is the real cake from the bakery.

Not the best photo. But this was from a friend of a friend's wedding. The two bottom layers are styrofoam, only the top is real cake.

This is an interesting idea, I've been hearing more and more couples opting for this! Never seen any picture results so hopefully if anyone has any they will post!

Normally they don't rent cakes. The bakery will "make" you a faux cake with styrofoam layers and just add the icing so it looks real. It's much cheaper than regular cake.
