Father/daughter dance

For something with a more classy feel (and definitely NOT country) I like “the way you look tonight” by Frank Sinatra (or the Michael Buble one for a slower beat). The lyrics aren’t sexual, and I see them in a way a father loves his beautiful daughter:

View quoted message When I said I like all music styles I should have specified, all but current country music. Unfortunately it seems that most of the songs I find that convey the sentiment I want to convey are not in my style of music (ie: not country). If I had musicians and a studio I would pick a song I like and record it myself!!

Try to nail it down to something that maybe reminds you of you and your father. I chose " youre gonna miss this" by trace atkins.

My father doesn't really dance, but we both have a love for music. So I'm going to pick a song we grew up listening to. Something by the eagles, or Aerosmith and we're going to air guitar shuffle for our father daughter dance.

I was trying to pick the right song and then a friend of the family told my mom it's the dad's job to pick the song. So I gave him a list of 10 or 12 he downloaded them all and picked on while on a road trip

My dance with my dad will be to Wildflowers by Tom Petty and the dance with my stepdad will be to Landslide by Fleetwood Mac

I actually picked 4 country songs and gave them to my dad to choose from. Im hoping he picks "my little girl" by tim mcgraw though lol

Her are doing Love You Forever by Ryan Huston. It's special to us because when I was little he used to read me that Robert Munsch book called I Love You Forever so I thought it would be fitting!

Hi Heather, For my father daughter dance I'm going with a shortened version of Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman - it's a great song but is on the longer side so may want to fad it out or have your DJ cut it down for you.

Originally my dad and I opted out for the first dance since we had a tight schedule with our photographer during our brunch wedding. Hubby and I had our first dance that was then switched over to more upbeat music for tge guests. In the end, my dad and I ending up grooving together to Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk which a lot of guests thought was planned lol! It is one of my favorite moments of the wedding
