IMO I pick veil over a fascinator no matter what because I just don't care for the look of one - with that being said - it's completely up to you and what look you are going for. What does your dress look like? Where are you getting married (no just outside, but beach, park, etc.)?

    Hi Claire!

I'd love to hear more about your dress and the look you're going for on your wedding day. These two factors will really influence whether a veil or fascinator would be best!

What is the back of your dress like? Is there a lot of detail? Are you planning a classic traditional bridal look?

I think it all depends on what your dress looks like. I personally like a veil over a fascinator tho.

I like the idea of a fascinator in an outdoor setting, that way you don't have to worry about your veil blowing in the wind during the ceremony. You could still get a veil if you want photos of you wearing it.

Try both on with your dress and see which one you like better with it. Like Casey said it revolves around that more so than the setting of your ceremony. Some brides opt to do a veil for the ceremony to keep with tradition and then do a fascinator for the rest of the night so if you are really torn you could always do this as well. Always keep in mind the overall picture. Some hair styles don't work well with a fascinator so it really is important to think of everything when deciding

Hi Claire! It really depends on what your dress looks like and what type of look you are going for.
If you’re going for a classic traditional look I would go for a veil. If you have a lot of detail in the back of your dress, I would go for a fasicnator.
Keep in mind if your ceremony is outside and it happens to be windy, a veil could be a pain in the butt unless you add little weights to the bottom!
It all comes down to your dress and the look you are going for Smiley smile
